23 brokerages underwrite 51.743 billion green bonds in first half of 2019

The Securities Association of China released special statistics on bond underwriting business of securities companies in the first half of 2019.


In the first half of 2019, 23 securities companies, as lead underwriters of green corporate bonds or managers of green asset securitization products (Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges), underwrote and issued a total of 21 products with a total amount of 51.743 billion yuan.


Not only the number of participating brokers is significantly more than in the same period last year, but also the amount of underwriting has increased nearly eight times compared with the same period last year.


Four securities companies underwrote and issued six innovative start-up corporate bonds, totaling 200 million yuan, down 92.9 percent from the same period last year.
