Adaps Photonics raises tens of millions of yuan in Series A1 round

Adaps Photonics, a Chinese single-photon sensor chip company, has recently announced that it has completed a multimillion-yuan Series A1 round of financing led by Lightspeed China Partners, with participation from O-film Holdings.

Jia Jieyang, co-founder and CEO of Adaps Photonics, said that proceeds from the new round will be used for R&D and productization, which will further enhance the company's advantages in technology and product solutions in the field of consumer-grade dToF imaging chip and high-performance LIDAR receiver chip.

Founded in May 2018, Adaps Photonics is headquartered in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, with an R&D center in Silicon Valley, USA.

The company focuses on the development of large-scale integrated chips for high-efficiency single photon detectors (SPADs) and currently has two product lines: Silicon Photomultiplier (SiPM) for high performance LIDAR photonics reception solutions, and SPAD imaging sensor (SPADIS) and comprehensive dToF solution for consumer electronics.
