Alibaba's chip subsidiary T-Head works with Allwinner Technology on open source processors

Allwinner Technology, an intelligent voice chip maker, has recently reached a strategic cooperation with PingTouGe Semiconductor, or T-Head, a semiconductor company under Alibaba.

The two parties will fully cooperate on the open source processor architecture.

It is reported that Allwinner Technology will develop new computing chips based on T-Head's Xuantie-series CPUs.

The first cooperative product of the two parties has begun research and development, and the mass production cycle can be further shortened, and new breakthroughs in power consumption are expected.

The chip can be used in industrial control, smart home and consumer electronics, and it is expected to ship 50 million units in three years.
