In 2020, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) issued two batches of 3.5 billion yuan of central budget investment to solve the infrastructure and public service issues in the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, the Economic Information Daily reported recently.
This is to help implement and accelerate the policy of "Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port".
According to reports, the funds focus on supporting a batch of global, basic and long-term projects.
The first is the major infrastructure directly related to the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, such as social management information platform, comprehensive bonded area supervision facilities and other risk prevention and control facilities.
The second is the supporting infrastructure and technology platform projects in key functional areas such as the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, and the Yangpu Economic Development Zone.
The third is to focus on leading industries such as tourism and further consolidate the foundation for the construction of international tourism consumption centers.
The fourth is to support the epidemic prevention and control shortcoming projects of the Hainan Provincial People's Hospital based on the situation.
Next, the National Development and Reform Commission will accelerate the construction of major projects in Hainan Free Trade Port, help coordinate and resolve difficulties and problems in a timely manner, and continue to increase funding and policy support.
