Sunlands, a Chinese post-secondary and professional education organization, has continuously laid off employees in recent months, involving front-end sales, back-end operations and technology departments, 36Kr reported.
Its current resignation staff size has reached 30%, and some management members have also resigned.
According to former employees, layoffs mostly occurred between May and July this year. Moreover, Sunlands' R&D center in Wuhan has been removed in the middle of this year, and hundreds of employees have resigned.
This round of layoffs is Sunlands's first large-scale layoffs since its establishment in 2003. The company had tens of thousands of employees at its peak.
